Bonnaroo! An annual four day music festival held on a 700 acre park in Manchester Tennessee, marks the beginning of the summer music festival season! Starting June 12th and ending the 15th, this is one festival you won't want to miss! Acts include a lined up such as Elton John, Jack White, The Flaming Lips and Artic Monkeys...not to mention a few friends of WYM such as Ben Folds, Umphrey's McGee, Slightly Stoopid, and the John Butler Trio. The main attractions of the festival are the multiple stages of live music, featuring a wide array of musical styles including indie rock, hip hop, jazz, americana, bluegrass, country music, folk, gospel, reggae, pop, and other alternative music. Needless to say, there is a little of something for everyone! In 2008, it was named "Best Festival" by Rolling Stone magazine, calling it "the ultimate over-the-top summer festival." Three days and four nights of non-stop music, comedy, light shows and entertainment. Bonnaroo is near and dear to our hearts here at WYM, for their Green efforts.
